Terms of Use

Last updated November 4, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and kaylokay about using the kaylokay app and website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy and to our Community guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use kaylokay.

On this page

1. Who can use kaylokay

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or to post, message or rate people on kaylokay. By using it you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you can enter into a binding agreement, and that you have not been barred from using the Service by us or by law.

You can look at public listings without an account. These terms apply when you do.

2. What kaylokay is, and is not

kaylokay is a place where neighbors post listings and talk to each other. When two people agree to a job, a sale, a trade or a ride, that agreement is between them. We are not part of it.

  • We are not an employer, a staffing agency, a transportation company, a seller, a buyer, an escrow service or a payment processor.
  • We do not check, guarantee or take responsibility for listings, for the people who post them, or for what happens when people meet.
  • People who do jobs, drive or sell through kaylokay act on their own. They are responsible for their own taxes, licenses, permits and insurance, and for following the law. Drivers are responsible for having a valid license and insurance.
  • A “verified driver” label means our team reviewed the details the driver gave us. It is not a background check, an endorsement or a safety guarantee.
  • Payments inside the app are not available yet. People who pay each other do it directly, outside kaylokay, at their own risk.

3. Your account

  • Give true information. Use your real first name and the first letter of your last name, as the app asks.
  • Keep your password private and do not share your account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
  • One account per person. Tell us right away at the address in section 20 if you think someone else is using yours.
  • We may refuse or change a name that is misleading or offensive.

4. What you post

You own what you post: your listings, photos, messages, profile text and ratings. You are responsible for it.

By posting, you give kaylokay a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, show, copy (as needed to run the Service, for example to make backups or resize a photo) and share your content inside the Service, so it can appear to other people and reach the people you message. This license lasts while your content is on kaylokay. It ends when you delete the content, except for copies that remain in backups for a limited time, in other people’s conversations, and in reports and safety records.

Only post what you have the right to post. Do not post photos of other people without their permission, and do not put private details such as your home address, ID numbers or financial information in a listing. Listings and profiles are public. Anyone, with or without an account, can see them.

5. Rules

Follow our Community guidelines and the law. You may not:

  • post illegal items or services, or anything that puts people at risk;
  • discriminate against, harass or threaten anyone;
  • scam people, post misleading or fake listings, or spam, including posting the same listing again and again;
  • pretend to be someone else, or use someone else’s photos or information;
  • post sexual services or sexually explicit content;
  • collect other people’s information, or copy listings in bulk, by automated means;
  • break, overload, probe or reverse engineer the Service, or get around its limits and safety features;
  • sell, rent or give your account to someone else.

6. Meeting people and making deals

Use your judgment. Meet in public, bring a friend when it makes sense, and never pay in advance or send gift cards, wire transfers or cryptocurrency to someone you have not met. Ratings are opinions of other users. We do not verify them. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number first.

You are responsible for your decisions and for how you deal with other people, online and in person. We are not responsible for what any user says or does.

7. Reports and enforcement

Anyone can report a listing, a profile or a conversation. Our team reviews reports. We may remove or hide content, warn you, limit what you can do, suspend your account or close it for good. We try to tell you what happened and why, but we may act without notice when safety or the law requires it.

If you think we made a mistake, email us and we will take another look. We may keep records of reports and of what we did about them, and we may share information with law enforcement as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not required to watch what people post, but we may.

8. Free to use, and future paid features

kaylokay is free to use. We may offer optional paid features in the future, for example ways to make a listing stand out. If we do, we will show the price clearly before you pay, we will not charge you without your clear agreement, and we will add the payment terms to these terms first.

We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service. We do not promise that it will always be available or error-free.

9. Messages from us

We send you messages that the Service needs: for example, a password-reset email, an in-app alert about your account, or the result of a report you made. We do not send marketing email unless you have said you want it.

10. What belongs to us

The Service, including the app, this website, the kaylokay name and logo, and everything we make, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app and website for their intended purpose, under these terms. Do not copy, modify or sell any of it. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

If you believe something on kaylokay copies your work without permission, email support@kaylokay.com with the subject “Copyright.” Include: your name and contact details; what the work is; where on kaylokay the copy is; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your information is accurate and that you own the work or may act for the owner. We remove content that infringes and may close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.

12. No promises about the Service

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, about it. That includes any promise that it will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors, and any promise that listings or people on it are accurate, safe, legal or trustworthy. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, kaylokay and the people who run it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, that come from your use of the Service or your dealings with other people through it. Our total responsibility for any claim related to the Service will not be more than $100. This section does not limit responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

14. If a claim comes up

You agree to defend and cover kaylokay, its owners and the people who work on it against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable lawyers’ fees) that come from your content, from your use of the Service, from your dealings with other people, or from your breaking these terms or the law.

15. Ending your account

You can stop using kaylokay at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if you put others at risk, or if the law requires it. Sections that by their nature should continue after that, such as sections 4, 12, 13, 14 and 16, continue.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting a claim, please email us at support@kaylokay.com and give us a chance to fix the problem. Any claim that is not settled that way must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction and venue.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using kaylokay after that, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, stop using kaylokay and delete your account.

18. App stores

If you got the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and kaylokay only, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google have no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app, and are not responsible for claims about it, such as claims about product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property. For downloads from the Apple App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. You must also follow the store’s own terms and any other terms that apply to you when you use the app.

19. The rest

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Community guidelines, are the whole agreement between you and kaylokay about the Service. If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce something right away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization. We may give you notices by email or in the app.
